Built on real-world experience
With a degree in Information Systems and Marketing from Monash University and more than 20 years working across IT, business analysis, transformation and project delivery, Sasha O'Meara's career has taken her across Australia, Hong Kong and the UK.
Along the way, she has worked with organisations in banking, retail, government, consulting and national policy organisations including the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA), helping businesses improve operations, introduce new systems, redesign workflows and manage change successfully.
What she has learned is that good solutions are rarely about adding more complexity. They come from understanding how a business really works, what is causing friction, and where the biggest gains can be made.

Why Grounded Business Solutions started
Small businesses are often expected to manage growing demands with limited time, limited support and systems that were never really designed for them.
At the same time, the tools to fix this have become far more accessible. AI and automation are creating new ways to reduce admin, improve consistency and free up valuable time. But most small businesses don't have the bandwidth to figure out what's worth using and what isn't.
Sasha started Grounded Business Solutions to bridge that gap: bringing practical transformation experience into small businesses in a way that is approachable, useful and grounded in real-world needs.
How we work
Our approach is practical, collaborative and outcome-focused.
We work with business owners to understand what is happening now, where the inefficiencies sit, and what a simpler future state could look like. That might involve:

- reducing manual handling
- replacing a spreadsheet
- setting up simple automation
- or designing a lightweight custom solution
We'd rather recommend one simple change that makes a real difference than a complex system that never gets adopted.

Based in the Macedon Ranges, we understand the realities of small business life: time is limited, priorities compete, and solutions need to be practical. Local businesses are a natural fit, from Kyneton and Woodend to Gisborne, Romsey and Lancefield, but we work with small businesses across Victoria, Australia-wide and the UK.
