Our commitment

We believe a good website should work for everyone, regardless of ability, device or how they choose to use the web. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across this website.

Accessibility isn't a one-off task; it's something we work on continuously as the website grows and changes.

What we've done

The website has been designed and built with accessibility in mind. Key features include:

  • Clear, readable typography with strong contrast against the background
  • Colour combinations tested against WCAG AA contrast standards
  • Semantic HTML structure so screen readers can navigate the content properly
  • Descriptive headings and meaningful link text
  • Alt text on images that convey information
  • Visible focus states for keyboard navigation
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
  • Forms with clear labels and helpful error messages
  • Responsive layout that works on mobile, tablet and desktop
  • No content that flashes or auto-plays distractingly

Known limitations

We're working through a few areas that don't yet meet our own standard. Current known limitations include:

  • Some decorative imagery may still need refinement for screen reader compatibility
  • Third-party embedded content (such as Google Analytics) is not under our direct control and may have its own accessibility characteristics

We are actively working to address these and will update this statement as improvements are made.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days and to fix high-impact issues as quickly as we reasonably can.

Technical details

This website is built with plain HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript, hosted on Google Cloud Platform. It is built to work with current versions of all major browsers, and designed to support common assistive technologies, such as:

  • Screen readers
  • Voice control software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality

Standards and law

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which aligns with the spirit of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and Australian Government accessibility expectations. While we're a small business and not legally required to publish this statement, we believe doing so is the right thing.

This statement is reviewed at least annually, or whenever significant changes are made to the website. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent review.
